How old do I have to be to get tattooed?
You must be at least 18 years old to be tattooed at Higher Love Tattoo.
Do you do body piercing?
No, we don’t.
Do you take walk-ins?
We do accept walk-ins, availability pending. Please stop by, or call us at (513) 832-3963 to check on artist availability.
Do you accept credit cards?
No, we don’t. Currently, Higher Love Tattoo accepts: cash, Venmo (preferred), and PayPal.
Is there parking at the shop?
There is limited parking at the shop, but there is ample street parking, both metered and non-metered on the surrounding streets.
Tattoo Details
Is the shop clean?
All products used during the tattoo procedure (aside from the tattoo machines) are one-time use and disposable. The shop is cleaned several times daily on an ongoing basis.
How do you handle large-scale pieces?
First you’d come in and do a consultation, which is free. If after the consultation, you’re ready to schedule your appointment, we would expect a deposit at that time.
If custom artwork is required, the appointment will be set after the artwork is agreed upon.
Large scale pieces are broken into sessions. Typically, between 2-3 hours per session, depending on your tolerance, budget, and the artist’s availability.
How much does a tattoo cost?
Tattoo work is billed per artist at a range typically between $120-150 per hour, so the full cost of your piece will depend on the scale, artist, and complexity.
What should I do to prepare leading up to my tattoo appointment?
Make sure you’re well hydrated, and that your skin (especially the area that is being tattooed) is clean. Getting some good rest is never a bad idea. Avoid overexposure to the sun leading up to your appointment. Lastly, make sure to eat so your body is as prepared as possible.
Can I bring in my own design?
Yes, you can. But often times, the artists may desire to add their own flare or correct your design to ensure proper tattoo execution.
Do you do cover-up tattoos?
Yes, but an in-person consultation is needed prior to your appointment to discuss the possibilities for covering up your existing tattoo.
Will you touch-up old tattoos?
Yes, we will. There are times when the job requires a substantial re-work.
How soon before my appointment should I show up?
Show up 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment so you can fill out required paperwork.
Do I need to bring anything?
Only yourself and your valid, current, state ID, passport of military ID.

Does your ink include animal products?
All inks we use are vegan friendly.
What about if I have latex allergies?
Higher Love Tattoo is a latex-free shop.
